Enjoy the Good Things in Life

Each day we face new challenges. 

Life for humanity has always been full of struggle.

It’s okay to have a full range of emotions about the difficulties that we encounter in our lives from worry to stress. 

However, we are not to dwell upon the challenges all the time.

We are not destined for everlasting woe. 

While we are here we should appreciate the beauty in the world. 

It’s easy to get caught up in the news, social media, sad stories, tragedy, crises, and bills. 

But we should not obsess over these things so much that they ruin our enjoyment of the natural world around us and the everyday blessings that happen. 

There will always be obstacles to overcome, address them as they arise, but don’t let them take over your life or steal your wonder.

Take time to notice the wildflowers blooming in a meadow, the flight of a blue heron over a pond, the majestic pink and orange of a midsummer sunset, and the laugh of a baby. 

It’s worthy to focus our minds upon joyful things.

It’s important to plan diligently, address the challenges that arise, work hard to create solutions, and then let it go. 

When working time is over we need to shift gears.

Work has never been supposed to be all-consuming. 

There is a time to work and a time to rest. 

It’s beneficial to take time regularly to rest in contemplation of the good in the world.

It is good for us, for our minds, for our health, and for our spirits.

Be grateful for the lovely things in life. 

It’s amazing to think about the beautiful and wonderful things that do exist in the world. 

It’s healing to appreciate what is worthy of praise.
